Welcome to my home for the Holidays! While, I do not go over the top with decorations, I still love to add some Christmas to my house. So welcome - come and take a peak! At my front door, I kept it fairly simple. The ladder is normally in my master bedroom, but it adds a cute touch to the front porch. Heading up the stairs, by the front door, I added garland and these cute banners that I made last year. To help my fake garland look a little fuller, I took branches from our Christmas tree (to get it to fit in my tree stand we needed to cut the bottom few branches off) and stuffed it in with the garland. At the top of your stairs, is our play room, our play room is A LONG way from being done, so these are the only pictures I will share - for now! :) Our upstairs tree holds all of our home made ornaments and ornaments from my husband and my childhood. It is always fun to set this tree up, the kids love seeing the old ornaments. Is that warping paper not the cutest? We have a most awesome babysitter and she brought some gifts over for the kids, so they got to enjoy early Christmas presents. :) Back to the main floor, here is my half bath and laundry room.
Last but not least, is my living room! I love this room, every day, but at Christmas time it is even better! I love our perfectly not perfect tree, I had a 2 year old helping this year and instead of moving ornaments around, I finally decided to just leave it as is. :) Thank you for checking out my house! I hope that you enjoyed it.
Happy Holidays Thanks for stopping by! Megan

We've been in our house for a little over a year now and we now have side by side washer and dryer. The only thing that has bugged me about a side by side washer and dryer is the 5-ish inches behind them where we can lose things (maybe that is where all of the socks go). To get rid of that problem, I wanted to add a simple shelf. My awesome hubby, likes to take my quick simple projects a step further, it is always a good thing! We make a pretty good team! :) I told him what I wanted and the next day, I had a shelf hung! He did a simple shelf and added a face frame to help with stability. Instead of simple shelf brackets, we had some pipe in the garage, so he used those for our supports. He cut a hole in the face frame for the pipe to stick thru and the end cap to thread over (he did it that way so that we could bring the shelf closer to the washer & dryer and lessen the gap between). I now have a pretty & convenient place to store my laundry necessities. I just need to get some new jars and stuff to make my things look a bit prettier on my shelf! :) What do you think? Notice the wreath? :) Since my half bath is right next to my laundry room, I might as well show you that too! I bought the poinsettia for my front porch and almost killed it by leaving it outside over night - apparently even poinsettias can't be outside in Michigan during the winter (good thing, my husband has the landscaping and flowers figured out, because I would kill them all!), so it came inside! :) Every toilet needs a potted plant, right?
Is your house ready for Christmas? My house is just about done! Hopefully by next weekend, I can show you all of my Christmas decorations. Thanks for stopping by! Megan |
